CCA has libraries on both campuses. The Meyer Library (OAK) collection is focused on the fine arts and the humanities, while the Simpson Library (SF) houses design and architecture materials. Both CCA libraries share the same catalog and website, and you can always have materials delivered from one library to the other.
CCA Librarians
We're here to help! Stop by the libraries, contact the library staff online, or give us a call anytime. Detailed contact information is available at the library staff directory.
The Library Catalog
The library catalog is the place to find books, videos, and periodicals housed in either of the CCA libraries. You cannot find journal articles in the catalog, but you can find journals by title.
Finding Articles
To find magazine and journal articles you can use any of the online journal databases or periodical indexes available here. Using these databases you can find full-text articles online or citations for articles in print journals in the libraries. To search for electronic journals by title or subject use the Journal Finder.
ARTstor
ARTstor is a database of more than a million digital images. Register for an ARTstor account on campus in order to access ARTstor from home.
The Internet
Plugging a couple of keywords into Google can be a great way to find some quick info, but keep in mind that the information bouncing around in blogs and on sites like Wikipedia can be unreliable. Most academic research is done in published books and scholarly journals to ensure that the works cited are reliable and authoritative.
