JSTOR provides full-text access to over a century of articles published in more than 150 international scholarly journals. CCA is subscribed to one JSTOR collection (Arts & Sciences III), but you can still connect to the entire JSTOR archive through San Francisco Public Library's articles & databases page (remote access requires a SFPL library card).
Access
- From any page on the CCA Library Website, select the Library Collections dropdown from the menu-bar and then select Articles.
- Select the JSTOR link.
- If you are off-campus please enter your CCA username and password at the prompt for access.
Basic Searching
- To get started you can simply type a keyword into the search-box, and hit the "Search" button.
- To do more precise searches select the Advanced Search tab.

Advanced Searching
- Combine search terms using AND (for fewer results) and OR (for more results).
- Select full-text from the pull-down menu to search for keywords.
- Select author from the pull-down menu to search for the author of a particular article.
- Select article title from the pull-down menu if you know the title of a particular article.
- If you have a complete citation for an article select the Article Locator tab and put in the title, author, and journal name to find it in JSTOR.
- Select the Browse tab at the top of the page to look for journals by subject or title:

- If you find one journal relevant to your needs, you can select the journal title link to limit your search results to articles from that journal.
Viewing Search Results
All articles in JSTOR are available in full-text online
- To view the full article within your browser select the article title in your search results.
- To download a PDF of the full article select the PDF link beneath the article title in your search results.
