She has been a librarian here since August 2000. Prior appointments include director of the Parsons School of Design library, head of technical services at the Brooklyn Museum library, and reference librarian positions at Columbia University and New York Public Library. She was also an instructor at the UC Berkeley School of Library and Information Studies while undergoing an unsuccessful doctoral pursuit. In her spare time Janice plays viola and bluegrass fiddle.
