UPDATED 3/16: Information regarding the Libraries during suspension of in-person classes

[Updated Monday, March 16, 5:30p]

At the current time, all in-person CCA classes are currently suspended through the end of the semester. Due to shelter-in-place procedures, we will be closed after Monday, March 16 until further notice.

Resources for CCA faculty and students transitioning to an online teaching and learning environment

The librarians are working with Academic Affairs to develop a toolkit of digital content, online resources, and teaching and learning software guides that can be utilized in a remote teaching environment. These measures are precautionary so that we can best support instructional continuity in a variety of teaching and learning continuity scenarios.

The toolkit can be found here and features resources for both students and faculty: https://libguides.cca.edu/remote

Efforts in the Libraries

As part of CCA’s ongoing response to the evolving COVID–19 outbreak, the Libraries are practicing preventative measures.

In all college libraries, we are cleaning surfaces with disinfectant multiple times a day and working with user support staff to ensure that technology equipment is also regularly disinfected. Additionally, we encourage patrons to make use of the hand sanitizer dispensers and stations we have available in all libraries.

Library Check-Outs, Returns, and Renewals

CCA Libraries will still be open to all CCA students, staff, and faculty on a reduced schedule through Monday, March 16. In observance of the suspension of in-person classes, we will be extending due dates for items starting now for any items checked out or renewed to April 13. After-hours book returns will continue to be available at both campuses as well. Should you run into any issues, please contact us.

As this is a developing situation college-wide, we encourage you to continue to check Portal for the latest updates. Please also continue to monitor the Libraries site for updates and additional information regarding library services.
