Supporting Faculty Digital Fluency

Teaching Support Studio

During the spring 2018 semester, Bobby White is bringing together small, focused cohorts of faculty interested in moving themselves toward digital fluency, and enabling them to enhance their own learning as well as their teaching through the use of emerging and online technologies. Bobby is looking for instructors who might feel particularly nervous around new technologies, or find integrating technology in their classroom challenging, as well as those who simply want to take their technology to the next level. There will be a curriculum meant to introduce teaching technologies as well as opportunities to improve general computer and digital skills. This group will meet in the Teaching Support Studio (TSS), in Oakland, about once every-other week for 90 minutes. Each meeting time will allow for hands-on work in person and group discussion. For those who complete the 8 sessions, we will offer a letter of completion. The day/time will be determined through a Doodle poll so that we can try to find a time that people can commit to. The curriculum is flexible.  Email Bobby at bobbywhite@cca.edu to find out more.
