Annemarie Haar

Associate Vice President, Instructional Services | ahaar@cca.edu

As Associate Vice-President of Instructional Services, I manage the libraries, academic technology and studio operations at CCA. I love CCA - as an alum, a staff member and community member. I am passionate about supporting curriculum delivery, seeking to design, evolve and lead delivery of these services so as to best support high impact teaching and learning practices in a dynamic and creative environment.

Teri Dowling

Director of Library Operations | tdowling@cca.edu

Teri manages public services and collections, and is particularly interested in expanding the libraries' collections in unique ways to suit the diversity of research strategies used at the College. Teri earned her BS in Biology from UC Irvine, her MFA in sculpture from CCA in 2002, and she finished her MLIS at San Jose State in 2009.

Eric Phetteplace

Systems Librarian | ephetteplace@cca.edu

Eric manages the library website, catalog, VAULT, & other technological resources. He holds a B.A.S. in English and Mathematics from Stanford University and received his MLIS from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2011. When his face isn't buried in a terminal, he enjoys exploring Oakland and playing the card game Netrunner. His personal website is phette.net.

Daniel Ransom

Instructional Services Librarian | dransom@cca.edu

Daniel serves the CCA community as Instructional Services Librarian. His role is to teach students how to find and engage with information resources and employ the critical thinking skills that will help them interact with an increasingly digital world. Daniel also works with faculty as a pedagogical partner to develop and implement strategies that support student learning. He received his MLIS from San José State University and has a BA in Theater Arts and History from UCSC. He writes occasionally about pedagogy and library history at thepinakes.com.

Mingyu Li

Ming recently received his Doctor of Philosophy in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Instructional Design and Technology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Prior to joining CCA, he worked as a Graduate Assistant at Virginia Tech where he supported faculty, staff, and students in the use of technology for teaching and learning.

Adrian Applin

Instructional Designer | adrian@cca.edu

Adrian works as an Instructional Designer, providing pedagogical and instructional support to students and faculty. He received his BA in Media Studies from Pomona College and his MLIS from the University of Washington. Nancy Chan

Nancy is the Instructional Technologist and, along with the Instructional Designers and many friendly faces in the Libraries, supports the teaching and learning technologies at CCA. Some of her previous roles at CCA include: circulation at Meyer Library on the Oakland campus, archives, digital resources, and even slides, back when CCA had a Slide Library. She recieved a painting/drawing BFA from CCA(C) in 2006, and enjoys video games, food, and cute things.

Erin Murray

Senior Library Technician | erinm@cca.edu

Erin manages the Materials Library and handles interlibrary loan requests. She loves working at a library that has bones, wool, and old telephones alongside the traditional books and magazines. Erin makes things out of yarn and fabric in her free time, and is always looking for new transit-accessible hiking spots.

Paul Navarrete

Paul manages circulation and course reserves for both CCA Libraries. He began working at the CCA Libraries in 2013 and was formerly the Evening and Weekend technician for Meyer Library. Paul is a member of the CCA Staff Union Bargaining Team. He is a super-utility player for the Oakland Beers of the Pacific Coast Hardball League. Paul enjoys backpacking and birdwatching.

Ali Padgett

In charge of acquisitions for the library, Ali works on both the Oakland and San Francisco campuses. An avid reader and active maker, Ali received her MFA in Photography from CCA in 2012. Her work can be found at www.alipadgett.com.
