Summer Break - Checkouts and Hours
Spring 2017 Students:
All Library Material is Due May 5 or earlier
Students will need to return all library material by Friday, May 5 (the last day of classes).
Items can not be renewed or checked out past May 5 until the student's record has been updated (see below).
All CCA Libraries will close at their regularly scheduled closing times on Friday, May 5.
After-hours drop boxes for returning books, magazines, and films are available outside both Meyer and Simpson Library.
Borrowing during the Summer Break
Undergraduate and graduate students interested in borrowing library material after May 5 (the last day of classes) are required to update their library records in-person.
You may update your library account as soon as Monday, May 1.
To update your library record, you must:
- Return all library material
- Pay any outstanding late fees and/or replacement costs
- Be registered for Summer or Fall classes OR scheduled to graduate at the end of Spring 2017
- Go to the Circulation Desk at either San Francisco or Oakland campus in person
Once you are updated, you may immediately begin borrowing books, magazines, or films. Items checked out during the summer will have the same loan period as they would during the regular semester.
Graduating students receive a complimentary CCA Alumni card and library borrowing privileges for the first year after graduation! Come by the circulation desk starting May 1 to set up your alumni library account.
Faculty, staff, and alumni may continue to borrow and renew up until their library account’s expiration date. Contact the circulation desk if you need assistance with updating your account.
