Summer Break 2018 - Checkouts and Hours
STUDENTS: All items checked out during Spring semester are due May 4 or earlier
Please return all library material by the due dates listed in your library account. After-hours book returns are available at the entrance of Meyer and Simpson Library for returns while the library is closed. To borrow items after May 4, please view the section below regarding updating your library record.
Borrowing books during Summer and/or Fall 2018
Items checked out to students during the Spring semester cannot be checked out or renewed beyond May 4 (the last day of classes).
Undergraduate, graduate, and graduating students interested in borrowing library material after May 4 are required to update their library records for the Summer or Fall session. You may update your library account as soon as Monday, April 30.
To update your library record, you must:
- Return all library material
- Pay any outstanding late fees and/or replacement costs
- Be registered for Summer or Fall classes OR scheduled to graduate at the end of Spring 2018
- Go to the Circulation Desk at either San Francisco or Oakland campus in person
Once your record is updated, you may immediately begin borrowing books, magazines, or films. Items checked out during the summer will have the same loan period as they would during the regular semester.
Graduating students receive a complimentary CCA Alumni card and library borrowing privileges for the first year after graduation! Come by the circulation desk starting April 30 to set up your alumni library account.
Faculty, staff, and alumni may continue to borrow and renew up until their library account’s expiration date. Contact the circulation desk if you need assistance with updating your account.
Summer Hours (May 5 - Sept 3) - We are open!
Meyer (Oakland) and Simpson (SF) Library will be operating on the following schedule for the Summer Break:
- Mon - Fri: 9-5p
- Sat - Sun: Closed

The Materials Library will be closed for the break and will reopen on the first day of classes (Sept 4).
